Statistics from this year's July 4th show a small drop in DUI arrests in some parts of California. Holiday DUI arrests reached 747 last year, 48 of them occurring in San Diego, according to the California Highway Patrol. The same span of time this past July 4th saw 803 arrests across the state with 47 happening in San Diego County.
A small decrease was seen in Orange County as well where arrests dropped from 59 to 55. A single fatality was recorded in San Diego County both this and last year, but statewide they rose from 15 to 18.
